The Annual Alma Beer Festival will take place from Thursday 23th May to Monday 27th May (with a beer sale on Tuesday 28th if there is any left!). Over 20 Real Ales and a few Ciders will be available.

The Programme is as follows:

Thur 23th May - 10% Discount to CAMRA MEMBERS

Fri 24th May - Colchester Morris Dancers 7.30 pm, Poker Competition 8.30 pm her response

Sat 25th May - Live music from Amandinus

Sun 26th May - Sunday Roasts served all day

We will be presenting to Town and Overall Pub of the Year award to The New Inn at 7:00pm

2019 Beer Festival - in the Village Hall. 17 Real Ales; Cider; Prosecco; Gin and Wine to sample and enjoy.

Saturday: Entry: £5 per person (includes souvenir glass) from 1.00pm to Midnight (3.00pm: Hells Belles Morris Dancers; 5.00pm: Ricardo and his Flamenco guitar; 9.00pm: Half a Whopper - live pharmaciepourhomme.fr/!).

Sunday: Entry: £4 per person from Midday to 5.00pm-ish (2.00pm: Belchamp Morris Dancers). Food available both days.

Colchester Arts Centre              

The Thinking Drinkers return with a BRAND-NEW SHOW, a hilarious and intoxicating look at history’s greatest drinkers. Enjoy five free drinks as the award-winning experts reveal how alcohol has inspired pioneering explorers, politicians and painters in equal measure, from Plato and Picasso, to Nelson, Napoleon and Norm from Cheers. You'll learn a lot, laugh a lot and, don't forget, you get five free drinks.

10+ Ciders. Offer of 4 half pints of any cider & a ploughmans platter for £10.

Music on Saturday night from 8pm.

We will be presenting the White Hart, Halstead with their Highly Commended Rural Pub of the Year award.

We will be presenting the Live & Let Live, Stanway with their Town Runner-up Pub of the Year award and their Highly Commended Cider Pub of the Year award.

After winning our overall branch award for Pub of the Year, the New Inn went on to win the Essex Pub of the Year award, beating other branch pubs from around the county!

They will be presented with their county award around 4-5pm.
