A group of volunteers are doing something to put back into their community, to ensure that it grows for the future.
“The Kings Head is over 500 years old and we are ensuring it will be another 500 years old in times to come.”
This Community buy out aims to open a village larder and in a micro brewery. In due course.

Purple Dog Beer Festival is back and this time it's in conjunction with those good folks from Colchester Brewery - More details ot follow!
The Colchester, Arts Centre Web site says
“An intoxicating, hilarious time-travelling journey through our drink-drenched past. You’ll laugh a lot, you’ll learn a lot and, if that’s not enough, you get five free drinks. Their message is ‘Drink Less, Drink Better’ – encouraging people to discover craft ales and independent spirits.

Grain Brewery are returning to The New Inn in 2018 for the Easter Weekend. This event is for all those interested in the current biggest question for Beer drinkers... ‘Cask vs Keg vs Can’. We will have at least 6 beers in all three options. Try cask conditioned, keg dispensed or poured straight from a can - you decide what’s best! More details to follow.

Building on last year’s success, we are going Dark again for the weekend in July. We’re going to put on as many dark beers as possible through our hand pumps starting Thursday going through to Sunday...if you were here last year, same format just hopefully more beers than last! More info to follow although we have a Bishop Nick ‘Witch Hunt’ & a Titanic Grand Reserve Plum Porter laid down already for it!
