Too many Good Community Pubs (of which The British Grenadier, fondly known locally as the Grennie is a fine example) are closing and need to be supported by their parent breweries, especially in these increasingly challenging times that the On-Trade faces.
The Grennie is a Multi CAMRA Award winning Pub and, with a little tender care and investment, could be fully restored to its former glory.
We request that Adnams reconsider their decision, particularly in light of the new housing development being built on the British Grenadier's doorstep. We ask that this excellent example of a well run Community based "Local" is kept in the Adnams Stable.
